Wisdom of Life and a Healing Touch

Dr. Philip Sajin, doctor of ayurvedic medicine

Dr. Philip Sajin

"The word Ayurveda consists of two parts:   'Ayu', meaning life, and  'veda', meaning knowledge.   The word has origin in a theory called  'Pancha Maha Bhoota', which defines the human body on the basis of five elements:  Earth, water, ether, fire and air. The development of these elements is affected by numerous factors, such as eating habits, life style, age and climate", says Dr Philip Sajin, our new doctor of Ayurvedic medicine.

Dr. Sajin graduated in Ayurvedic medicine and surgery in the Indian state of Kerala.  He has upgraded his theoretical knowledge with practice at distinguished hotel chains across the globe, such as Four Seasons Resorts, Intercontinental Hotel Group, Kempinski, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, etc.

He is especially proud of his achievements at the hotel company Intercontinental Hotel Group in Beirut, Lebanon. Namely, he was the first to introduce Ayurveda, as a knowledge of life, to the state of Lebanon and its citizens.

"After graduating in Ayurveda, a graduate may opt for working at hospital or at a spa or a wellness centre. I chose the latter because I am well aware that medical wellness is the future of tourism industry."

In May 2011, Dr Philip Sajin has become a member of our team of acknowledged Indian therapists. His decision to work at the Shakti – Ayurveda Centre was based on his opinion that the latter is the flagship of Ayurvedic medicine in Europe.

"Working abroad is a great challenge for me because I spread knowledge and experience I gained in India across the whole world. I have a dream to present the principles of Ayurveda to every single human."
